| The Catholic Campaign for Human Development focuses on helping the impoverished population. Because they do that, they inspire many other facilities and communities to get involved. Toledo, Ohio has many accommodations to help those in need with money problems.
Toledo has many shelters and missions to help those in need. A few of them are:
Not only does the community help out, but the local schools help out at well. Notre Dame Academy takes mission trips to Harlan, Kentucky every yeart. At Christmas time, girls travel there to hold a toy and clothing drive so the families can have a real Christmas. Also, we give them the opprtunity to come together as a community when we put of a Christmas party for the town in the local gym. During the party, the girls from NDA put on skits to help explain the Christmas story to the children. In the spring, the girls help build things for the community. They spend part of their spring break constructing and fixing up houses around the area. Not only does Toledo help, but Toledo's schools help as well to help end poverty.
