Makerspace and Resource Center

Think. Tinker. Discover.

The Dr. Suzanne Openlander ’53 Resource Center & Makerspace is a flexible learning environment designed to promote collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking and provide STREAM resources. The Resource Center is a space where you can conduct research using our many print and digital resources, work on group projects, and check out electronics such as laptop computers and iPad keyboards. You’ll have access to a wide variety of digital research databases and e-books.

The Makerspace will help you develop critical 21st-century skills through hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering and math.

The makerspace is currently equipped with:

Computers, two 3D printers, a vinyl cutter, a 3D scanner, Go-Pro Cameras, Adobe Creative Suite Software, sewing machines, art supplies, and brain teaser challenges. You can learn coding with Bloxels (iPad Application Game Creator), an Arduino Uno kit, Lego Mindstorms, and even drones!
