A community that nurtures growth.

Our Junior Academy, housed within the NDA campus, is structured to create an environment where students have opportunities to build their confidence while taking ownership of their learning.

Cultivating Academic Success

Academic success in the Junior Academy lays the groundwork for high school and college success. Our 7th and 8th grade students are able to build their academic confidence by utilizing the following resources:

  • Counselors
  • Math Lab
  • Peer Tutoring
  • Flex Time
  • Study Skills Class

Our student-centered schedule promotes academic success through block scheduling (four classes - every other day - for 75-80 minutes), student flex time, and access to advanced classes including high school level courses. All NDJA faculty specialize in a single subject area and collaborate to ensure a seamless learning path for our students into high school. In addition, your daughter’s school counselor will be a constant presence to help her navigate academic, emotional, or mental health needs.

Intervention Services
Intervention services and support are provided for students who are on educational service plans (504, IEP, ISP). We are a Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship provider
