    • Singing from 3:30 until 4:30 PM
    • Dance and Acting from 3:30 until 6 PM
  • Wednesday, May 6
    • Dance, Acting, and Signing from 3:30 until 6 PM
  • Thursday, May 7

Callbacks

  • Friday, May 8
    • 3:30 until 6 or 7 PM
  • Callbacks will be posted on the website on Thursday evening. We will also email those who have callbacks. If you do not receive a callback, that does not mean you are not in the show. It just means we do not need to see anything else from you.
  • The cast list will be emailed on Friday, May 8, sometime after callbacks. Some roles may be cast after rehearsals begin.

What To Know and Where to Go

  • Before you arrive, print the audition sheet and fill it out. Add a picture of yourself to the sheet. You will need to bring three copies of this sheet (with pictures) to auditions with you.
  • When you audition, you will be acting for the director, singing for the vocal director, and dancing for the choreographer. If you are a current NDA student and plan to audition on Tuesday, please note that you may have to audition for Mrs. John’s at lunch during the week, so any incoming NDA students or gentlemen have time to audition during the time Mrs. John’s is available that day.
  • When you arrive, enter through Door 22 (this is the second set of doors as you enter the circle). A musical representative will be there to greet you.
  • Auditions will take place in the Green Room, Choir Room, and PAC. Mrs. Walker, the producer, will be in NDA’s Lobby D to register you when you arrive. Look for the table outside the Green Room/Choir door. At registration, you will hand Mrs. Walker a completed audition form with a picture. Make sure you have parent emails and phone numbers on this form. Mrs. Walker will then direct you where to go first. Your whole audition process should take about an hour to an hour and a half.
  • Each person you audition for will receive an audition form from you (director, vocal director, and choreographer).
  • Audition material includes audition form, character descriptions, monologues, and music.
  • Look over the character descriptions and sample character monologues in the audition packet to help you prepare for the acting audition. You may choose a monologue or two to focus upon, but Mrs. Sawyer may ask you to read others as well during the audition.
  • There is nothing to look over for dance auditions, but you should wear

comfortable clothes and shoes you can dance in. Jayme Weiden will give you further instructions.

If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Jean Walker at jwalker@nda.org
