Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

The Scholastic Art and Writing Regional Jurying for the 2024 Annual Exhibition has just been released.  This year, 1694 artworks were entered, and 400 received an Honorable Mention, Silver Key, or Gold Key in recognition of their outstanding creative achievements. 

Seven NDA artists have works selected for this prestigious exhibition.  The exhibition will be held at the Ft. Wayne Museum of Art from February 10-April 7. An award ceremony will occur on February 18 for the Awards Ceremony at FWMoA from 12:30-5 pm.

Congratulations to the following four artists who were honored with Honorable Mentions:

  • Miranda Adler '24 (Art IVH) for her charcoal Self Portrait drawing
  • Isabella Hsia '24 (IB Visual Arts HL Y2) for her colored pencil self-portrait series entitled The Joy in Laughter
  • Ellie Tuck '25 (IB Visual Arts SL Y1) for her colored pencil drawing entitled For Her
  • Zoe Zimmerman '25 (IB Visual Arts SL Y1)for her oil pastel entitled The Human Impact.

Congratulations to the following two NDA artists honored with a silver key:

  • Anna Kelly '24 (IB Visual Arts HL Y2)  for her digital self-portrait entitled Revealed
  • Sydney Wilson '24 (IB Visual Arts HL Y2)  for her digital painting entitled Annual Appearance.

Finally, congratulations to Lauren Heerdegen '24 (Art IVH) for her acrylic painting entitled Dinner Party receiving a gold key which will allow her work to progress to a national jurying for consideration for the national exhibition hosted later in spring in New York City.
